The M1935 Turkish bayonet was designed to accompany the Turkish Mauser rifles standardized during the extensive rearmament and modernization program of the 1930s. This bayonet features a straight, single-edged blade approximately 250 mm (9.8 inches) in length, with a narrow fuller running along each side. It was designed in the style of German knife bayonets but tailored to fit the Turkish Mauser variants, particularly the 1935 "short rifle" conversions. The hilt typically consists of wooden grips secured with rivets and a steel crossguard with a muzzle ring, reflecting durable and functional military design.

Turkey produced large quantities of the M1935 bayonet domestically, primarily at the Kirikkale Armaments Factory. While exact production numbers are not fully documented, it is estimated that hundreds of thousands were manufactured to equip the wide range of Mauser-pattern rifles in Turkish service, many of which were older foreign rifles refurbished to a standard configuration. The bayonet was built to be interchangeable across several rifle models, contributing to its widespread use and logistical simplicity.

The M1935 bayonet served the Turkish military from the 1930s through the post-World War II era and remained in use well into the Cold War period. Though never used in large-scale global conflicts, it saw decades of service within regional security operations and training roles.
